I heard that the laws have changed recently about buying concert tickets in an attempt to stop scalpers. I want to buy some tickets that are on ebay. They are cheaper than their face value and what I want to know is, if I buy them, can I use them or does the person who first purchased them have to use them? Is it still legal to purchase and use tickets up for resale? I am really confused and any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't really want to blow all this money if I can't use them.

no it is not illegal and yes you can buy them.
I live in QLD also. but make sure they are valid tickets

Be very careful buying tickets of off eBay. I am a seller, but I have heard of people buying the tickets and never getting them.

no but its illegal to sell tickets for more than they're worth. its called scalping.
