Adultery is sexual thoughts/words/actions with or towards a person other than your spouse.
"Refusing to give him the necessary submission" is a ridiculous reason to commit adultery or get a divorce. The Biblical concept of "submission" does NOT mean that a man can dictate his wife's sexuality or force or pressure her to have sex. "Submission" involves allowing the man to lead in Biblical matters and respecting him as the head of the household. This submission can really only be done when a wife knows that her husband is looking out for her best interests. If he isn't, then he's not holding up his end of the arrangement, either, and he should consider that.
My advice -- start treating your wife with respect and not as a sex object. Let her know that you care about her and that you want to do what is best for her always. Be patient -- it may take time to earn her trust back. Good luck

If that's the case the couple shouldn't be married. The other person is going to be tempted with that and that would be adultery. Having sex outside the marriage whether your the man or the woman is adultery. If your being tempted to cheat i would seek marriage counseling.

Sometimes, letting go seems like the easiest thing to do. But think about this: you've invested so much of your time and energy into another person; you've made a solemn promise; and you still know there's love, even if it's hiding underneath the surface. This website will show you how to save a marriage and avoid divorce, even if you're the only one trying https://tr.im/Dl94N

If you are married and have sex with someone besides your spouse, it is adultery. You can't say that it is not, no matter what the reason for doing it in the first place.

Adultery is not defined by what is deserved, but by the act of going outside of your marriage for sex. Justify it all you want, but it doesn't change what it is.
