Well my question is more about what people really think of him. It seems to me that montel has gotten to be annoying. I like the topics he brings up on the show but he is always saying that he's going to catch hell or he going to get in trouble for saying certin things on his shows. I do you ever hear about him catching hell about anything? Like to day he was talking about the president and he happen to talk about the draft and im peachment. and what he said right before it was he was going to catch hell for talking about it. Is it just me or is he doing these types of shows just to get the chance to say something thats going to get him trouble? If he is it isn't working. Well if any of this rings a bell with you tell me what you think of it.

Dont get wrong I love the show but I guess you guys dont get my post. All I was saying was that you always hear from him that he is going to get in trouble and its almost like he wants the trouble. All im saying is you get tired of hearing it, its almost like it make him feel important to say that before he talks about it. But the whole deal is you never hear about him getting in trouble for anything and if the producers and networks didnt like it, it wouldn't be put on air. Just think about it.

Montel is great but i understand where your comin' from...its almost like he wants to get into trouble for talking about things he shouldn't be! but he always seems to be repeating the same words in every show...so i be like 'whats goin on!!?
it can get annoyin sometimes too...but i guess its just in his nature and personality to do that!

Any celebrity talk show star almost whoever they are (and there are some exceptions) STILL have producers and advertisers to please !! IF the advertisers (sponsers) are unhappy---the Producer is unhappy and if the Producer is unhappy YOU'RE gonna be unhappy !! And, there are a lot of sponsers out there that have some really really odd views on what materials they will and won't support !!
It is more in THIS vien that I believe Montel is speaking when he talks of possible "trouble" for going into a subject of controversy !! And, I'm sure that he has---been there done that on that level a number of times that you or I would know nothing about !!
I also think that his mentioning this is probably his way of getting a message to people -- that even though we have "free speech laws" and rights in this country-- a person's words still have a number of sources that can either censor or curtail what you say in one way or another !!
I'm just thankful to God that we still have people like Montel that will feel something at the heart level---and stand up and SAY SO regardless of what might come of it !!! I think the man has guts--and feelings-- and heart----Is he perfect---hell no---is he a celebrity with a career mind for his ratings and future---damn straight--- but--- he still comes across to me as an individual who CARES---and that's something that is getting rarer and rarer !!!!

Montel is sooo annoying. He does have good topics and I think his heart is in the right place, but I totally disagree with his views. Sometimes I just can't believe he served in the military. His views are too liberal and I can't agree with what he says. Sometimes I catch the end of his show when I switch the channel to watch Dr. Phil. I really wish there were more conservative talk shows out there. I get tired of hearing the views of people like Oprah, Montel, the women on the View, the evening news broadcasts from CBS, NBC, and ABC, the Today show, etc... I wish there were TV shows on network television similar to the Laura Ingraham or Rush Limbaugh radio shows... That would be something more along the lines of what I'd like to see.
Sorry about this rant in answer to your question... I will hop down from my soapbox now :)

I used to watch him, but not anymore, he is a ****** I emailed the show about a show I saw when he blamed a 20 yr old guy for going with a 13 yr old girl, and got her preggers, but when the girl cam out onstage, SHE LOOKED ABOUT 20! nowadays girls wear makeup and dress hoochie, and are more mature then when we were kids.
what was the guy gonna do? ask for her ID before a date?

Montel is right on about a lot of things, he catches hell about his topics through e-mail his producers recieve..
He must be doing something right ,he's been on TV .doing his show for a heck of a long time...he has tons of viewers.......
If you are tired of watching ,exercise your right to contact his producers and .........stop watching !

I think most talk show host talk about things that will start controversy . It is what brings in ratings.
Montal was in the military so I respect his views on the subject.
