I dreamed I was trying to save a large whale that was in a swimming pool, and a child that was trapped inside a burning house. A few days later, my grandmother dies. Could you please tell me what that meant?

White is symbolic for sadness so it sounds to me not like you were trying to save your grandma but you were trying to stop the sadness. Whales may represent your spiritual awareness. Sounds to me like you saw it coming. This is my favorite site for dreams. Dreammoods.com Check it out and good luck!

Disclaimer: I'm crazy.

I think it's possible a lot of people have experiences like this. The very night before my mother died, I was up the entire night from a nightmare that had somehow led me to screaming and yelling at the 'demon spirit' in my room. Now, I had never done such a thing before, and have not done it since then. Never even felt the need to.

But, your dream symbology is YOURS. I can't interpret what whales in swimming pools and burning houses mean to you.

Why don't you try writing each of the major symbols in your dream, and then beside each one, jot down what comes to your mind immediately following seeing that word. this can give you a good clue of what you subconsciously feel about these symbols.
Because, frankly...i think 'dream interpretation' in the sense that everyone uses the same universal symbols is only half true, if at all.

So figure it out on your own, you're the only one who really knows.
