The studios hold auditions almost every day and they'll let anyone do it, it's just a matter of getting to them

Without SAG eligibility you will have a major problem

Acting isn't all movies and TV there is local theater and that's the proving ground.

Audition for a job of seating people or selling tickets and see if you get it as a vollunteer!

Then work your way up and keep auditioning.

I am the president of theatre club in our school... Before, I don't know how to act but as i get familiar with theatre, i suddenly learned to act... The first thing i did before is that, when i read stories, i acted as if i am one of the characters and i examine their moods... Then when i enter theatre, i set my mood depending on the story given to me... Acting should be personal just like learning.. because you will not just act there in stage but also you have to undersdtand deeply the characters and their moods... Then you have to set your mood according to the character that you want to have... If you want more about acting just tell me... I can help you... :-)

i think the first step would be to continously take acting lessons, movement lessons, voice lessons!! get your resume and headshot together, find a good agent, one who wont beat you out of your money, then go on the auditons.

Yes, take acting workshops, join community theater, act in school plays (if in school), take more workshops, make connections, hone your craft, make more connections, and get a job as a waiter because that's what most wannabe actors are doing (and they will still be doing it a decade from now).

First you let your ego get so huge that no one can stand to be around you. But dont worry once you are rich & famous they will all become your yes-men.
