You are in the mall and you're walking minding your own bussiness. You see a wallet with no I.D in it but with $100,000 in it. Will you blow it all off and keep it or will you try to find the owner?

You are walking along in the mall and you find a wallet that is not yours. It has no cards or pictures in it but instead it has $100,000. Will you try to find the owner or will you keep it to yourself and blow it all?

Well to be honest that all depends on the wallet. If there was something unique that the owner could ID the wallet with . I would try to find the owner. Put up found wallet fliers with just a contact number. I don't think I would be able to live with the guilty conscious. Now if I saw some spoiled little rich girl or a total JERK drop the wallet. Conscious clear! But I would at least donate some to a good cause!

The problem with that is that no authority figures such as mall security or the police could be trusted with that large of an amount of money. I would look for some defining characteristic of the wallet that would be unique to it and extremely unlikely for anyone to get with just a guess. I would post an add in the paper and wait and see if anyone could identify it for sure. I would also not disclose the amount of money that was in the wallet which would further aid me in ensuring that I wouldn't be duped into giving the money to the wrong person. I don't know though there is no legitimate reason why anyone would be carrying that much money. Perhaps the best thing to do would be to burn it.

keep it if there is no id in the wallet.... those people whoever might have lost it during shopping by accident would be really happy if they got that money backk they prolly came from a different country or so cause canadians usually would not carry such a huge amount of money... just go to the information desk in the mall and tell the infromationists that if someone comes to look fro their money that they call you... leave ur phone number with them,,,... if they dont come means that you should donate it instead of using it because you FOUND the money it is NOT your so you have NO NO NO right over the money if you know what i am trying to say.. if its been a while, they people prolly came and asked and left .... go to the store where you found the money and ask them if someone came to look fro the money... and they have those cameras so tehy could possible tell you whose it may be.... good luck!!!!! dont waste it because if you lost $2000 you would want to get that money back would you like it if someone wasted your money? no right... and i would not call that IRRESPONSIBILITY or CARELESSNESS because someone had lost their cell phone in the mall so i told the informationists about it and they tracked down that guy and he was veryy thankful. it can happen to you too.... welll if it fell out its not their fault... dont blame them,... dont carry someone elses bad curse with you for keeping their money...... do what you think is the best and the right thing to do... well if you get no response within 1 week or 2, you should donate it or use///whatever you think is rightt

I'd return it. Imagine the heat of people trying to find it and the cops would be out looking for anyone who all of a sudden started to spend up big. Then when you got caught and it was mob money they would send the boys around to kill your family. Is it worth it? When you did return it I am sure you would get a size-able reward. I think that 10% sounds pretty good to me. Some things are more important than money. Like life. You must mean a bag with $100,000 in it because if it was a wallet it would have a cheque in it. The bank would cancel the cheque and it's worth nothing. A bag with $100,000 in notes is a fairly large bag. Good luck in getting away with it in the first place. That's 10,000 $10 notes. Think of the size, you'd be seen I reckon and if you're seen by the owner, god help you. Is $100,000 worth your life? Some things ARE more important than money!!

I'd have to make an effort to find the owner by placing an ad in the paper and hiring someone to create and post notices in the area where I found it (at wallet owner's expense). I wouldn't mention the amount. The claimant would have to know that little detail, as well as be able to describe the wallet. But I wouldn't turn it over to authorities. If no one claimed it after six months I'd have a party and give some to a charity.

I would prefer to return it to the owner but I would instead look for a notice of a lost wallet in a newspaper or at that same mall a couple days later. If someone lost such a thing they would put some effort into finding it and would be able to clearly identify it. If no one was looking for it, then I would donate it to a charity.

I would take the wallet to the police because after 90 days if nobody claimed it i would get the money, i did this before with a stolen motorcycle that i found in the bushes and 90 days later i had a brand new motor bike, so honesty does pay off.

A 100,000 dollars cant fit into a wallet. more like a cashier's check. but if i saw it. no i wouldn't take it? Way because more in likely the person has money and is well off..so he would already have called someone to go and search for it. With that kind of money laying around or lost you better best believe i would have someone on my money as soon as possible to bring it back to me. and if i would take off with that kind of money eventually i would get caught up and would be in jail. alot of people don't think about the consequences. more in likely someone would get caught taking money that was laying around. That's alot of money for someone to just let go of.

I would definitely try to return the wallet. As for the money, I might have to keep that as a reward for finding the persons wallet for them. Wait... money, what money...

yes maybe inside you , you want to keep it as its has a huge amount of money , and you definitely get nervous and forget what to do in a few minute . but for i will look for a lost and found service ,I'm sure each mall has it .or bring it to the nearest police station and tell them the story how and where you found that money .in my country they always give rewards to the person who found it for about 10%. but what matters most here is your being honest to yourself ..
