I don't know if it is still in there or what but it sucks and it makes a callouse on top. Any home remedies or other tips?

It could possibly be scar tissue, but you need to an xray to be definite. Also, did you get a tetanus shot when you stepped on the nail?? if you have not had one in the past five years, you need a booster!

You could still have debris left from the puncture. The body would send white cells there to get rid of it, hence pus, or a type of scar tissue. You might soak the foot in hot/warm water, to soften the skin and allow something to come to the surface and out. I think they use Epsom salts for this; it will say on the bottle from the drug store. Good luck. Or ask the pharmacist.

go have it checked the nail or rust or a piece of it can still be in there. It won't get better unless it is removed, go to Dr have it checked common sense

You need to go to the doctor so they can get an x-ray and check this out.
