all bogie films were something america can be proud of, even when he played a criminal. bogie and becall just look good together. he was gloriously in love with her and it just glowed.

Bogie and Bacall were the perfect example of old time glamorous movie starts. The love they had was all consuming. Both were consummate performers. Never late on the set. No high demands or outrageous salary requirements. All they asked for were good scripts. I am reading a book now by Lauren "Betty" Bacall, The love and admiration she had for Bogie shines through clearly. She speaks honestly and holds nothing back. She's a beautiful lady. A strong soul. I love her work.

Well, that was before they discovered the power of big money and started paying illiterate airheads like Brangelina millions per minute... you're right, comparing Brangie to those two sooo funny... todays celebrities are puke.
