The biggest advantage/disadvantage is that it takes out individuality as much as possible. In theory it makes it easier to learn rather the worry about what so and so is wearing.

In the long run it also prepares students for the real world where many people wear ties/suits/uniforms to work everyday.

On the other side, there is always something to be said for individuality and the freedom of expression. People have argued for and against it many times over the years and there still isn't a clear answer.

I used to feel we need to be our self, dress to fit our personality.

lately I'm starting to think different for so many reasons and one of those reason is bulling today.

Bulling will always take place- Did way before my time (I'm in my forty's) and will long after my time.

Lot of parents just can't keep up with the financial burden of cost of designer clothes or today style.
Therefore the child is left to sometimes be picked on , laughed at and left lonely with emotion scaring that they never get over.
As once a child of this treatment I honesty can say without a doubt children should wear dress code clothes in today's school /s.

May not stop bulling but will definitely take one reason away for being picked on!
On other note school /s should have their students all take a vote on a certain selection of clothes. That way you all go with style.
And maybe up date that style every other year.
