Mayors don't make good Presidents. But, a long time ago in Alaska when I was a little girl, his uncle or great-uncle, I'm not sure which, was the most wonderful grandfather figure a child could dream of. My family would go visit him and he had a record player. He'd hold us in his lap and we listened to children's records together. And, he raised a garden. He let me pull up and eat the forbidden baby carrots. His name was Jimmy.
