You can try chopping the worms up to get your fish to eat them. Guppies have troubles breaking the skin on some worms. If they don't eat them, then remove the worm corpses. Its bad for the tank health. Also, you can try soaking them in garlic oil. It makes bland food more pallatable for picky fish.

Personally, I think blackworms aren't that good for guppies. If you want to condition the mommas for birthing, get some brine shrimp in the tank and the occasional frozen bloodworm.

Also, my favorite thing to feed female guppies when its birthing time is the cheap wardley sinking shrimp pellets (the cylinder shaped ones). They eat them like candy from the bottom for the couple days around the time that they spit out babies.

John is right, it may take several tries before the guppies will accept blackworms as food. Also, guppies usually eat things that are on the surface or just under the surface, they don't as often look on the bottom of the tank for food. Look at where their eyes are and how their mouth is shaped. It all points up, to the surface. Try foods that float first to get them used to the idea, like freezedried foods. Then move them over to frozen. A truely great treat for your guppies is mosquito larvae. Easy to grow yourself once warm weather is back. Just a bucket of water in the yard and they will do the rest.

Besure to feed this type of foos only once a day and the flake type foods for the other feeding. That's far better for them.

Best of luck with the breeding!

That's wierd! When I had guppies they ate just about anything! As long as you haven't overfed then siphon the worms out. Also, you could try getting a cleaning fish to clean your tank of any pollutant matter. Bristlenose catfish are awesome and won't harrass your guppies. If you get a couple of those, then they will eat any left overs.

if they are not eating it it will rot and polute the tank you should siphon it out. like with most foods that they have never had before it may take a few trys before they will eat it. in the mean time try frozen blood worms or brine shrimp as a supliment to flake foods
