I just read about that dream about falling. I had that dream a few times as a kid. I cannot quite remember how old I was but I had not reached that stage where I had feelings of disrespect from my peers or any body else. I always fell down a cliff, waterfall or dark precipice and i used to fall so fast that the terror of not knowing why I was falling or what I was falling into made me scream myself to wakefulness or just plain made me sit straight up in my bed. I never knew if this lasted seconds, minutes or more. It had to be a response from something at the time but I just have never figured it out.

many people have dreams related to this theme, and it doesnt necessarily mean any repressed psychological thing or any real experience. however if u are mentally stressed, i feel the dream is more frequent. children have this more often in a more severe form, known as sleep terror i think. and in general, this kind of dream and sensation is included in one of the many parasomnias, that is, sleep disorders. it has something to do with the neurology of sleep.

I use to have a dream about falling. Falling down the stairs but literally fallin , but right before I get to the end of the stairs I will close my eyes real tight and I will wake up sometimes I will even hit. Then I started to realize every time I was dreaming about something horrible all I have to do is close my eyes in my dream and I will wake up. Later I started to notice In my dreams that I was only dreaming , and when something that's exciting that I wanted to keep dream about I couldn't, I would just wake up.(my opinion on this dream is that I believe that there are to many souls that share the same dream for it to be define in a book or by a doctor thats not there like you are. People from all different lives and moments of success and happiness share this same dream im sure.) Darkness is scary but you should never be afraid. P.S also keep in mind that we are all here to experience the most out of being human and not to define everything that occur, if so the world, space and your spirit would no longer be a mistery.

Thats so weird, I have that too. I keep dreaming that I was at the top of my steps at home, and for some reason I would take a big leap and jump down, right before I would hit the bottom, I would wake up and start breathing heavily. I have also had feeling of disrespect for some reason after these dreams but it goes away after a week for me. For me it lasts for about five minutes for the point I start dreaming to the point I almost hit the ground. If this keep lasting I would consult a doctor or something, but for me its like once every two months it occurs.

I say thats wrong, because alot of the times I hit and land, and the dream continues. I don't die, I actually land on my feet and my legs feel a sharp blast of pain from the fall, but I survive and start walking around again. So, no, I didn't die when I hit.
