Go to your nearest health food vitamin/herb supplement store with a knowledgable natural health consultant (leave the new age crystals out though!). Do whatever they advise. You might check with a doctor who will not just treat the symptoms but will actually help you figure out what is triggering them. I had one and it was my first and last one. Privet hedges did it for me but I took measures with natural health and haven't needed anymore of the meds in the cabinet and that's been almost a year ago.
Dr. James Balch (my chiropractor had the book in his office) is a physician and he gives a whole list of things to do and to take. It really works. You can buy it at any health food or bookstore or on-line. It could be from toxins in the body to food allergies to mold in the house, etc. Either way, this information is a life saver. My aunt and cousin in Texas can help you. This is what one woman had to say about their nutritional consulting;

I would see your family doctor and tell him everything you are going through. It is possible he will have to put you through some testing to get to an answer.
Meanwhile.........have you added in new foods in your diet? If so stop eating it and see if the headache disappears.
Take warm relaxing baths and perhaps a bit of extra rest. Headaches are often continued by stress and sometimes can be a sign of a nasty flu coming on.
Don't have any chocolate items or things with caffine in them. Just until the headache dies down.
Try meditation; the breathes really do help.
Avoid any strong lights. If your outside a lot use sunglasses for now.
When is the last time you had your eyes checked? Headaches can be a sign that your eyes have weakened and they now need help with glasses.
Have your teeth been hurting? Check in with your dentist.
Stressful weeks? Find a way to relax.
Hope this has been of help.

I my self get migraine and sometimes they last for a week. I actually have been told that there are a few factors that made me rethink why i was getting the headaches. one is soda that contains splenda. One is lack of sleep. and the other is Chocholate.also i'd be very interested about what meds you are taking. I was on a medication that actually causedmigraines and a side effect which I would talk to your doctor about.

Oh my. I'm so sorry. Have you tried having someone massage it for a long time? Massage Envy has a special, $39 for the first massage. You can say you want all the focus on your head and shoulders.
Try a vibrator on your scalp and forehead. It works for tension headaches, not sure about migraines.
Get some lavendar oil. It's relaxing and may help.
If you have a loving mate, ask for some relaxing sex.
Good luck!

You can't go to the ER and insist on seeing a neurologist. You need to follow up with your PRIMARY care doctor and he can point you in the right direction. the ER is for EMERGENCIES and that's what they do. They will treat your headache but they can't refer you to a neurologist, that will be up to your doctor. But you do need to see your doctor. There are many great meds out there such as topomax used for migraine headaches. If you suffer from migraines then you may need to be on a daily drug to help control the headaches! Good luck, i see so many people who suffer from these headaches, so just communicate with your doctor to figure out what is best for you!

Go to the the ER again and insist on seeing a neurologist or make an apt as soon as possible. Explain your symptoms to them. Having a headache for 11 days is certainly not normal or healthy.

I have this problem sometimes. Unfortunately I usually have to wait it out.
Here is some advice:
Buy some nose spray and clear your nasal passages. They may be stuffy which causes less oxygen to get to the brain. This works well for me.
Buy a hot water bottle, put it in the microwave for 6 minutes. Then lay down in a dark, cool room with the bottle on your head.
Get alot of sleep and drink alot of fluids (your brain needs water to function)
Take medicine containing ibruprofen. It's stronger than tylenol. Take two to three.
Ask a family member to rub your temples or apply pressure to the bridge of your nose, between your eyes.
Whatever it is that may be stressing you out, take a deep breath, take a mental vacation.

Its probably low blood sugar or high blood sugar. Im not sure. But I think that you would need to go to the hospital to get a cat scan because you might have a tumor. Not to frighten you but its true. Ive read a lot about those stuff becuase im like a health freak.

maybe you should talk to your primary Doctor and tell him/her what the problem is. I had that problem but not no more, I had a breast reduction and my headache and my migraine is gone along with neck and back ache. Good Luck
