In my experience:
-Memphis
-Nashville
-Fort Worth/Tarrant County
-Austin
-San Antonio

I've always heard that Raleigh-Durham, Houston, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Birmingham were friendly, but I've never had any experience with those places.

LOL...that's okay, don't be offended. My rankings are not in any order, I just listed them as they came to mind. (If I WERE to rank them, though, San Antonio would be #1.)

Charleston, SC

Raleigh-Durham was nice.

Boulder is nice, but only if you are in that mindset.

Be VERY careful around Houston. I have no idea who told you it was nice, but there are a few outlying communities that seem nice in comparison to the horror that is Houston.

As a truck driver,I'm tempted to say the southern cities, but I've got to say I've found New York city to be very friendly. Maybe I was just lucky.

I would have to say the southern cities are much nicer, and generally more patient than up in the north
