I've recently gotten into substance abuse books, got any great ones you've read?
I've already read "Smack" and "Go ask Alice." I've been recommended "Beauty Queen" which I'm headed out to get soon. So any others? Doesn't even have to be substance abuse related. Anything is appreciated. :)

With some abuse content : Billy. It tells about the first multiple-identities rapist and murderer in America. It's a true story back in 1970s-1980s. There are two novels : Billy 1 is about why Billy got into such disorder and ended up in a great disaster. The second one is about the life of Billy's after the court realesed him free, well not totally free, from the rape and murder convictions.

Without abuse content : The Rule of Four (by Dustin Thomasson and Ian Caldwell). It's about the friendship among 4 university students. Two of them are obsessed about a 500 yo book and led them all to an adventure that they never forget. It took 6 years of the authors to finish the book but it was worth all those credits afterward. People said it is a combination of Dan Brown and Umberto Eco. I would like to add that it is also combination of Paulo Coelho and Enid Blyton.
