I believe alpha is the brain wave FREQUENCY that is the gateway to psychic ability.
I call these brainwave levels between Alpha and Theta, in particular 7.8cps, the gateway to the Psychic Realms. The Earth’s heartbeat or pulse, known as the Schumann Resonance varies among geographical regions, but maintains an overall measurement of 7.8 cycles per second. Isn’t it interesting that when we relax and slow our brainwave frequency down to match the electromagnetic pulse of the planet we find ourselves, our deeper selves, meshing with the quantum soup, with the resulting extra sensory perception of clairvoyance, mediumship or trance channeling.

I don't know if it's a myth or not, but it would make sense that if most of us really were using only 10% or whatnot of our brains, that most people wouldn't realize how limited they were. They couldn't grasp it.
Yes, I wonder sometimes of latent psychic abilities is what is in there. Or possibly old mental/biological processes that have shut down due to evolution.
But I really don't know. After all, I haven't learned to access that stuff in my head yet.

The part of the brain which we normally do not use , controls our emotions, regrets, joys and behaviour towards other. One who is able to enhance the utilization of this part of the brain becomes true human being and can show miracles. He becomes above all the materialistic approach of the present day men .
