In my experience, they have been:
-Orlando, Florida
-Georgetown, Kentucky (only a town of 20,000 people!!!)
-The suburbs around Washington, DC

I have also heard that Beverly Hills, CA and Plano, TX are really bad, but I don't have any personal experiences in those places.

Dallas Texas, and just a few of the inner suburbs of Washington DC, and most of the snooty ones are in Maryland, like Bethesda and Chevy Chase. There are also some very nice communities in the Washington DC area, like Potomac MD, and Middleburg Virginia, even though Middleburg is a little bit away from the metro area, mostly of the Washington people who have places there are very nice.

My experience:
Orlando, FL - very nice people - also, Clearwater, Ormond Beach & Daytona (as far as I could see, they try to keep the "glam" out of it for the kids - there's schools right there where people are partying!
Georgetown, KY - never been - would like to go there
Washington, D.C. - nice folks (but I think they were tourists..lol)
Beverly Hills, CA - never been (don't know if I want to)
LA, CA - nice people (hey. You never know who you're talkin' to)
Plano, TX - never been (don't have any desire to, either)
Winchester, KY - never been (be kinda neat to go there)
NYC, NY - they should just be there own state, for the love.....but there are some good people there

Beverly Hills is pretty fast-paced. You can come across some rude people ... In my opinion that is what people would think if they visited from a smaller city. We were advised to go easy on the speed when we planned a trip to Maui, we were told people from L.A. are used to always rushing around. And it is in that regard that I think some people are snooty here. Too busy to notice, too busy to wait their turn (at the gas pumps, merging lanes, at restaurants). There's great stuff about L.A. too but that, of course, is not the question ...

Carmel, CA. They will not even allow any fast food restaurants in their city. They only want "classy" restaurants.

Try: Boston,MA and Syracuse, NY! I've been to Boston and they were quite rude and I live in Syracuse, so I know what I'm talking about.
