You don't. Life is nothing more than a series of choices. You just have to live with the consequences of those choices. A better answer is; There could be no society without rules that apply equally to all. These rules, or laws, are what make us all equal. They also give structure to society so that things may operate in a predictable way. It is your choice whether or not to participate in that. If you don't, you must leave society.

rules is like a statement of ethics. for examples, there are social rules that says you cannot steal because it is not your property, environmental rules that says you should not litter because there will be germs which is harmful to people's health and organizational rules that govern procedure and processes to effective and efficient operation etc. you can see rules as a code of proper behavioural practice. they all should have good outcome whether to individuals or to the society.

if there is no rules, the society will be in chaos. rules are created so that every individuals are responsible for their action socially by which it prevent people from doing much harm to others. other than that, you are free to do whatever you please and respected for what you are.

don't be cheated by crooks that tell lies to you and say these are rules which you should follow. they are nonsense. the only legitimate rules that you should abide to is the law and the organizational rules in the company you work with. other than these, they are all fake. do some research on rules and study them so that you'll have better understanding of legitimate rules and not rules which crooks use to cheat on their victims.

to help you understand better about rules, you can ask yourself some question. for example, you ask yourself "why do organizational have rules for their staff to follow?" and the answer can be as simple as, "so that every activities organized and carried out will be in an orderly manner" or "because the comapny wants profit". you might also set rules for your staff to follow when one day you have your own company.

The rules of life are actually to be the guidance. It's part of the civilized world we live in. We basically do not have to follow but the question then, are we ready for the consequences?

Rules of interaction with each other are perfectly natural ... unless you want to live in the asylum.

It's how we get along.

How would it be if you were playing Monopoly, and some bastard kept taking money from the bank whenever he wanted, or refused to place his game piece in Jail when required, or took your houses because he was jealous?

Wouldn't that guy be tedious as hell to get along with?
