a. Yes, he is actually mulatto.
b. The darker features are usually the more dominant ones. Putting it simply: When you mix chocolate syrup with white milk, is the product "dark white" or "light brown"?
c. Also, if he claims to be Black, he can easily play the race card. If he runs with Hillary, she can play the gender card, and together they can get elected by brain-dead people who are voting for them on the basis of race and gender. (The funny thing is, however, that these are often the same people that would demonize other people for voting for a candidate because he was a White, Christian male.)

Because he is mixed with African American, he will always be considered black. If you even have an 1/8th of it you are black. I think there is some old rule about it. He could never pass as white, so black to some would seem more fitting. However, if his mother was white, he is technically biracial.

Some people would say no matter what race you are- the race with the dominant pigmentation is the one that you would be visually identified with.

Well it all goes back to slavery time when they used the "one drop rule." Basically if you had any Black in you they considered you Black. But Barack is bi-racial. He considers himself Black. He has stated this on many occasions. I think the main reason why he is called Black is because he could never pass for a white male but he could pass as a black male.

Im tired of saying this. White people made the rule that 1% of black blood makes you black. Now you want to complain.

If Obama was in Africa he would be considered white (if that makes you feel better)

But black people are inculsive, we accept blackness in all shades.

The same reason Tiger Woods is called Black and he is only 1/4 black. Its convenient. Mikey Jackson is 100% black but they wont claim him.

Because of slavery if you had darker skin nobody wondered how much black was in your blood just the color of your skin. If he had white skin and was half black they'd call him white. Ppl now a days only judge whats right in front of them.

Mr. Obama first and foremost considers himself as black. Secondly, I believe the laws of this country states if you have a tenth of african blood you are considered black. In my opinion his race isn't important its what he stands for that counts! The man will make a good president, check him out.
