arent they people like me and you dont you think the things others all say about them hurt them tell me a truth and clear answer so i can know what others think about them!

I don't hate Muslims, I know a few and they are very nice

Alhamdullilah :) Welcome, Sister/Brother! Ok so i'm not going to lie - it's not going to be easy for your family to accept - especially when (using your description of your parents as basis) your parents do not seem very..open minded, and sound like just another victim of the media's misconceptions. I am SO so sorry for what you are going through - it's one thing to not be accepting, but to laugh in their child's face like this is horrifying. Just don't give up - you have reverted, and I will make Duaa for you - Allah knows best, and will make this all easier for you IF you truly have the sincere intentions of being Muslim and submitting yourself to Allah. I say reverted because we are all born Muslim at birth - it is our social surroundings (family, parents, school, social environment) that deters us away from Islam - but Alhamdillulah, you have found your calling once again :) I suggest you watch videos by Dr.Zakir Naik (just youtube him) to be able to formulate a really good reply about explaining the pork issue (to start with) that will open your parents' minds - I kid you not, this scholar is amazingly coherent and conveys the message very well. There are violent people everywhere, every color and religion. Most serial killers are white males. Why don't we hate all white men then? There are hundreds of millions of Muslims in this world and they are just as diverse a group as any. Why do we only focus on what other people in other nations have done. The United States has committed endless crimes against humanity, and yet the ignorant conveniently ignore that fact. Read some history, educate yourself. Don't just buy what the media tells you. There is a lot under the surface.

Because through propaganda people have come to think that all terrorists are Muslims and all Muslims are terrorists when in fact that isn't true. just think when you mention Muslim somebody is bound to mention terrorist; it is this outdated warped view that has led to bigotry against almost a fourth of the worlds population. in case you didn't know Islam is the second largest religion behind Christianity.
And just so you know the Koran does not view women as anything less then men and does not objectify them within its instructions on how to live life; that does not come from religion but from society.

I think that some people may hate the nation of Islam because of the Taliban, 9/11, and thier strict treatment of women.
I personally do not harbor hate against the nation of Islam because I know like any religion, some people take the religion to extremes and use it to harm, but that however does not mean that every person of the Islamic religion is bad. There are always people in every religion who take the religion out of context. Most practitioners of Islam are dedicated to the faith and just practice it in everyday life.
I do not agree with some of the view of Islam but I do respect the faith. I believe in tolerance of all religions.

I don't dislike or hate Muslims. I think anyone who does is just being simple-minded, close-minded, frightened of what they don't understand. It's really their loss, because there is a lot to be appreciated and admired in the Muslim faith--and I am saying this as a non-Muslim. People are scared these days...I mean to the point of utter paranoia. I'm not sure who did the most damage: Osama B.L. or Bush. Actually, it's probably Bush.

Yes they are. Honestly only the idiots would hold all Muslims responsible for a few bad apples that bombed us on 9/11.

I don't hate Muslims! I just hate the thought of flying with them,

I think its because they haven't updated their wardrobe in 2000 years and they dont use toilet paper.
