Glucosamin and chondroitin sulphate are commonly prescribed to help relieve arthritis pain and rebuild cartilage. Problem is it takes months to start working and wont do a thing if the biomechanics of the body are off and not allowing cartilage to be rebuilt. I suggest you check out Pete Ogoscue's books Health through motion and Pain Free. Fish oil (Omega 3 fatty acids) help decrease inflammation in the body thereby decreasing pain..they should be taken daily as a supplement along with a anti-inflammatory diet that is limited in red meats and simple sugars(white bread, cakes, etc...).

In rheumatoid arthritis, the immune system, for unknown reasons, attacks its own joints and surrounding tissues. Experts don't completely understand why this so-called autoimmune reaction occurs, but they think that some people have a genetic predisposition to rheumatoid arthritis and that its onset can be triggered by an infection, an inadequate diet, or emotional stress. This chronic inflammatory condition can begin at any age but most often appears between the ages of 20 and 40. There's no cure for rheumatoid arthritis, but any of the remedies listed in the chart may alleviate chronic pain, reduce inflammation, or help slow joint damage. They can be used alone or together, as well as with conventional drugs. Effects may take several weeks to be felt. Perform gentle non-weight-bearing exercises, such as swimming. Try physical therapy; massage, heat, or cold packs may help too. Get plenty of rest -- 10 to 12 hours or more a night if needed. Supplement Recommendations - Vitamin C Dosage: 1,000 mg 3 times a day. Comments: Reduce dose if diarrhea develops. Vitamin E Dosage: 400 IU twice a day. Comments: Check with your doctor if taking anticoagulant drugs. Zinc/Copper Dosage: 30 mg zinc and 2 mg copper twice a day. Comments: Add copper only when using zinc longer than 1 month. Fish Oils Dosage: 2,000 mg 3 times a day. Comments: Check with your doctor if taking anticoagulant drugs. Evening Primrose Oil Dosage: 1,000 mg 3 times a day. Comments: Can substitute 1,000 mg borage oil once a day. Glucosamine Dosage: 500 mg glucosamine sulfate 3 times a day. Comments: Take with food to minimize stomach upset. Ginger Dosage: 100 mg 3 times a day. Comments: Standardized to contain gingerols. Can also drink up to 4 cups a day of ginger tea. Cat's Claw Dosage: 250 mg standardized extract twice a day. Comments: Take between meals. Cayenne Cream Dosage: Apply topically to affected joints 3 or 4 times a day. Comments: Standardized to contain 0.025%-0.075% capsaicin.

So..
This is a very good anti-aging program I'm following: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=547
it's developed by Steve and Becky Holman and it's 100% natural: no drugs, no supplements, no gimmick. They teach how to slow the aging process. There are specific ways to move, eat and think that tell your brain to stop and even reverse the aging process. There are also things they you absolutely have to avoid if you really want to look younger and achieve your ideal body. More info on the site.
Have a nice day

Salmon is a weekly thing to eat in my diet. The capsules I did not think of!
Plenty of sun light, even a florescent light will help.
I am on the cannabis program that helps with sleep, pain. Also the things already mentioned above.
One needs to remember that arthritis pain comes from inflammation. Loose warm clothing. Shoes that give plenty of room (cramping and soar toes) with ankle support.
There are braises out there that help! Need to be shown how to put these on properly. Warm gloves on the hands. I cut out the middle finger and the thumb so I can type (My Mr. bought me a lap top that is easier for me to type on with the built in mouse) and if I need to rub my eye or something these two fingers free help. Keep your house as warm as you can, others will complain but do what you can.
Try as much as it hurts try to move around....Since my last helper dog passed on we went and got a puppy who is learning real well her commands for those days moving around is not easy. Plus she makes me get up and walk around. When I cry she licks my face so I feel better.....she knows basic commands as of now (she shakes hands but this is not a needed thing. She is 12 weeks now I think?), she is still so little. My other one would bring me everything I pointed to or told her to get for me, and helped me in so many more ways....
