You should vote for the PERSON,not the party...there are scumbags on both sides. But AS A RULE....Democrats believe in bigger government, they should take care of everything and make all the decisions for you.Republicans believe in smaller government, lower taxes, and letting you make your own decisions.Dems are USUALLY pro abortion, reps are usually not.Dems are usually for gun control, the reps are usually not.if Dems cant get a pet law passed through the judicial system, they shop around for a freindly judge to make law from the bench, which is unconstitutional.

In theory the democrats are supposed to be pro-civil rights, pro womens issues. Democrats were once the Champions of the poor and midle classes. Now they are Pro Amnesty for Illegal aliens, anti war, peace at any price, pandering to the finge lunatics. Extreme left pro same sex marriage, pro-abortion on demand.

Neither is for the poor and middle classes, both represent only the extremly wealthy. Republicans tend to shy away from civil rights and women's issues, which was not true until the 1960's when Kennedy became president. Most of those that are now Republicans used to be Democrats, became Dixie-crats and were from southern states that oppssed civil rights period. Now, I am among the confused and Independent!

William O is a perfect example of a Democrat. Long winded circular logic, hidden in a suspect, confusing, self agrandizing manner, in the hopes that if they say enough, something will stick.

Well, I guess we can see who is more prominent in the response mode, and defense mode, during the voting season. Is this a republican forum, or an actual objective question?
Republicans are for the smaller government and individual responsibility? Hm mm, interesting, smaller governments, yes. That limits control of power and participants. Individual responsibility, well, that is indeed questionable. To give the benefit of doubt to the republican friend of mine, I will ask this:
Because we are friends and you truly have my best interest in mind, even though I disagree with you, are you to understand and predict, better than I, a respected peer, the future of the decisions I make; or for that matter, that you make? OR, are you in fact in tune with the best interest of your personal interest and future, as opposed to the interest of me and the ALL included in your decisions?
Make no mistake in my statement, I am completely in favor of the supposed democratic evolution of entrepreneurship in this U.S. of A. The true question is, are you, the republican? Is capitalism the same, or does it even coincide with democracy?
In referrence to the below titles and definitions, I have found NO reference to Republican OR Republic in regards to a Democracy.
For that matter, I would like for someone to enlighten me as to when and where 'conservitive' came into the play of democracy. It's more in sync with the capitalistic forum that we now embrace.
I.E...CONTROL
BE CAREFUL IN YOUR DECISION, MY DEAR, FOR IN THIS DAY, WE, THE DEMOCRATS, ARE A RARITY, A NOVELTY AND A GREAT RISK TO ALL WHO WISH TO OVERCOME THE INTEREST OF ALL...
In short, the 2% who control wages for the 98%, fear us; the 98% of us who desire to become the members of the 2%, will do what we must to become a member.
Some of us simply refuse to give away our soul in order to acquire such wealth and power.

democrats claim to be open minded, tolerant of various opinions, accepting of all ideas, and fair but aren't. republicans don't claim be open minded, tolerant of various opinions, accepting of all ideas and fair but usually are. democrats will protect members of their party who sexually abuse minors and sexually harass women; republicans do not but still get accused as being sexist and pedophiles. democrats think that if they don't get involved in every aspect of a persons life that person is destined to fail. republicans believe in themselves and faith things will work out if they work their *** off to make it work out. let's see republicans are extremely attractive fun and usually good with the opposite sex. democrats are not. democrats are so fed up with their lives they sit around in squaller, gripe and quarrel about why they can't beat a purported idiot in a presidential election. republicans do not.

The U.S. is on a downhill slide into SOCIALISM. Republicans will take you there. Democrats will get you there FASTER.

Most Americans no longer care enough about freedom to think about voting LIBERTARIAN.

Democrats are wrong and Republicans are right . . . :]

But seriously, to be fair to my "friends" on the opposite side of the political spectrum, I can sum it up with: Democrats place their faith in institutions and groups, and think the government should play a more prominent role in people's lives. Republicans place their faith in the individual, and believe in a more limited role for government.

Dems are the "feel good" party. Their motto is, "if it feels good, do it." The problem is that they also are the "no reponsibility" party, and throw morals out the window.

Repubs are the conservative, logical thinking party. Yes they are boring, but they have real solutions to real problems, take responsibility, and are much more righteous in their thinking - they have morals.
