Because you have figured out, that they want the benefits with-out the work, and they don't like it when you call them on it.

There's a lot of sexism in the world, and it's always annoyed me no matter what 'side' it came from. When I say I think the sexes are equal, I mean it. And they should be treated that way.
The only real problem I can see with women in the military is the inevitable pregnancy problem. Pregnant and nursing mothers will not be too effective in combat, I just don't see how that works. But there are many women who would be 'available' to do work in the military that would not be pregnant or taking care of children.
Yeah, extremist sexist women who want to put down men are just as offensive to me.
But please let me add this:
If there were ever a perfect world where the sexes truly got along and worked together, and just dropped all this fighting...there wouldn't be a draft because we wouldn't need a military and there would be no one to fight.

in regards to the first article, any club should have the right to select anyone they want as members.. If that involves turfing the presidents membership (or any women's for that matter) than so be it.. Would not have to go far to find the next course anyway.. Can't stand snobby people that think they can stink their loud and proud snouts anywhere they want

Female soldiers are also at-risk of rape; what better way for the enemy to demoralize a camp than to rape the women? It distracts the male soldiers, too, whose impulse to protect the women from such acts might well lead them and others into further dangers. Women's bodies are also less-tolerant of the forces in aircraft and spacecraft, for example.
And call me a bad person, but if I'm in a fire, and I have a choice between a male and female firefighter to rescue me, I'd rather it were the male. Even my male friends who are out-of-shape are still stronger than I am.
The world ain't equal -- but as long as both sides have equal rights (both can be employed, both can vote, both can seek redress in courts, both can have their own money and homes, both can be educated, etc.), then I think we're doing o.k.

Yes its true it happend to me too. But seriously, when you are at the frontline and the $hit hits the fan, would you want women with life ammunition in their hands around you ?
Even if they would be any good at sodliering if one side would throw in women, the other would do the same to keep the balance and it would only increase the bloodshed requierd to bring the war to a conclusion.

Oh, how I loathe feminists!!! I have a theory on those virtues of incorrect womanhood. They are just plain p*issed off they weren't born men. Face it.....men and women are different. I don't believe a woman is emotionally capable of conducting herself properly on a battlefield. Those wicked little things called "feelings" and "compassion" would pop up and she would get herself killed along with her fellow soldiers. She would choke when it came time to kill the enemy. And Heaven help anyone who wandered into a woman's barracks during PMS time. A woman is superior in things. A man is superior in others. Both can be superior in yet other undertakings, but I am sick to death of women who spout off about how they can do anything a man can do. That is simply not true. I am grateful women are not included in a draft. We do not belong on a battlefield!

There's a military draft? Where is there a military draft?? I ask because I know that you are too smart and decent to be making up this crap so there must really be a draft on in your country and this has now become a pressing political issue.
You miss watching the news one lousy night and look what happens! Sheesh!

Heehee, what are you nattering about, Serin? The asker used both the terms "forced " and "draft. You introduce the term "Social Service" as a synonym ??? Where I live, those terms are used in the context of government-sponsored nursing home care delivery and early childhood education facilities. Do yourself a favour pleeez: fork out for a dictionary.

I think that you are probably right. If a woman is going to say that men and women should be equal in all ways, then a woman should be more than willing to take the responsibilites that men are forced to take.

I don't get mad...I think, all things being fair, women should be drafted as well. Who are these "feminists" getting so "mad," anyway?
Oh, yeah...I'm a feminist.

Gotta love all the pedantic children who resent your use of "draft" when you meant "social service." That's intellectual integrity right there!
