You can make it in 3.5 hours from LA. However, the traffic always sucks no matter when you leave. Therefore, it takes probably about 5 hours on average. If you make it under 4.5, you made great time.

Southwest airlines has fares for $45 each way. I find that it's cheaper and faster to take a quick 45 minute flight.

My dad drives there atleast twice a week from Vegas to L.A and he sais it takes inbetween 4-5 hours depending how fast you go and how many stops you take. So I average the miles to be between 280 to 300 miles.

From California Sacramento to drive through Bakersfield to Las Vegas can take as short as 8 1/2 to 10 hours like I said though depending on speed and time. If you take California Sacramento to Las Angelas it takes 7 hours.

On fridays, the I-15 is bumber to bumber from LA to Las Vegas.
On Sundays, it reverses. If you can avoid those times, its a 4-5 hour drive.

Otherwise pack a lunch and get ready for some slow moving

Aloha from Down Unda!

Did you mean -

"How long does it take to get from Los Angeles to Las Vegas?"?

The flight is less than two hours, maybe less than 90 minutes, I think.

The drive is less than 8 hours, depending on stops.

Walking will take much longer.

The distance is about 285 miles.

[2 days, 14 hours n 15 minutes, til we board for our flight to Viva La$ Vega$, but who's countin...tick tick tick ;-]]

By plane, probably only 45 minutes. Driving, it takes between 3.5 hrs up to 6 hrs depending on traffic. I usually drive between 80-95mph. Try not to drive up to Vegas on Friday nights, b/c traffic is the worst. There's only one route there, the 15, and it tends to bottleneck.

It took us about four and a half hours to get into Vegas but when we were actually there it took us about another hour to get to our hotel - the traffic was terrible! That was on New Year's Day though...so that might have had something to do with it.

Driving can take about 6hrs. Depends on traffic getting out of town. There's some traffic near Ontario because of the airport and mall.
