OK...A 1 GB mp3 player holds approximately 240 songs...but still it depends on the song that you're going to put on it...Like if you have a song that has higher size then you can put less songs on your mp3...

They usually hold around 240, but it depends. My 1 GB Ipod Shuffle has 261 songs on it right now.

number of song purely depend on quality of music you want normal mp3 file are encoded at 128Kbs with average size 3 MB per song .size of file also depend open the length of song . you can decrease the size of song by decreasing the bit rate to 96 kbs decreasing the file size to nearly 2 MB without any noticeable drop in quality of song but decreasing the bit rate further will reduce the quality to noticeable quality ..

they can hold up to 250 songs. depending on what type of files they are.
