f (x) = x^2 - 7x + 10; find (a) f (0), (b) f (5), and (c) f (-2).

plug in the numbers for x
example
A) 0^2 - 7(0) + 10 = 10

This means you have to substitute the values 0, 5 and -2 for each x.

The corresponding answers are:
a) 10 ; 0-0+10
b) 0 ; 25 -35 +10
c) 28 ; +4 +14 +10

for A, solving f(0), put a zero in for each value of x

0^2 - 7(0) + 10 = 10. So f(0) = 10.

Just do it for the other values. It really is that easy.
