Your feelings in the dream are as important as the images. It sounds like a terrifying dream. A dream about the end of the world is a very personal dream. Only the dreamer can truly know what's up with a dream. What would seem like the end of the world to you?
The sun and the mountains could mean the feeling that the world is closing in on you, but the most significant seems to be that your daughter was not with you. You may be dealing with a phase of child raising where you want to enable her to become independent, but have strong fears about her safety, if you let go a little and let her explore the world around her. Changes that you know are necessary for your daughter's sake might seem like a catastrophic loss. Thus, in the dream, your four year old is absent and it is an end of the world scenario. Many mothers have struggles with being protective versus over-protecting. Any change that takes your young child away from you and closer to the rest of the world can bring unconscious upheaval. Maybe that your daughter will be going to school soon?
Well, this is only one possibility, but perhaps it will give you something to go on.

Its a warning (and I am not mocking you). This concerns our Country and its a warning to be prepared. The mountains moving closer means time is running short.
Its not a Freudian dream or any of that nonsense - but a warning from God above. More and more people are having them, just not by the masses. Select people.
We get these warnings for two reasons; Be prepared with God and to prepare yourself for a coming bad times. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see we are on the thresholds of world war 3 and we know its close. We just don't know how close.
I don't mean to scare you or anyone - but warnings help us in the respect of dealing with these things when they come. Its better to have a warning and be prepared than to have your world drop out from under you all at once.
If you know God - then get closer to him. If you are not saved, its time to get saved. As far as your daughter is concerned - she is already in God's hands.., and her fate is a positive one, either way it goes. That is why she was not in the dream. You and those with you need to be prepared.

I would say that you have a fear first of all losing your daughter.
Secondly, you feel insecure, and are uncertain about the future. The mountains in your dreams stand for problems, and issues you have no control of, and the sun getting closer signifys, that it is blinding you from seeing what you need to see.
