Well first off I'm sorry to hear about your troubles...There are some things you can do though.:o) Natural cures include daily exercise routine, new hobbies, new diet, more water intake, and more sunshine. Get some extra light in your favorite spot in your house- open the shades. Buy a pet or plant. Also depending where you live, people can sometimes get the winter blues from lack of daylight, and activity outside if it's to cold. If this doesn't work seek medical help but keep doing these things on top of any medication you receive. I never liked medication because I couldn't financially maintain them and had a hard time learning how to live w/o them when they would run out. I had severe withdrawal symptoms that were worse than depression any day. Also, antidepressants just made me numb to reacting to the issues facing me. Where I once felt sad, lonely, and depressed,----on meds I felt nothing at all which is almost scarier. Everything in my life was wrong from the people I chose to be around to my everyday choices and responsibilities, but I could no longer react to change anything because the meds were just numbing me to the pain instead of making me deal with the changes that needed to take place in my life. Once I got off them, I changed my life and am in such a better place now! I won't lie and say everyday is easy and I never feel sad or depressed anymore, but honestly I use those emotions to alarm myself of things around me that aren't right, and need to be changed- not just medicated and numbed over. Good luck!

Go to YouTube and watch Dane Cook clips. That's a short term solution though.

Or, get up and walk outside. Without purpose. Just let the feet take you where they may. You'll start noticing things in the neighborhood you never noticed before.

Try volunteering at Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Helping others detracts from your own drama.

It's the weather. This condition is called "Winter Blues". You must know that January brings about this condition many suffer from. Plenty of sunlight and strong light bulbs helps along with comedy and laughter. you'll be just fine in due time don't worry!
