So my girlfriend and I had sex this last saturday and it was unprotected because it was a spur of the moment thing. I am usually always safe and am really big on using condems. But this time I didnt. Maybe I am just paranoid but she is not on birthcontrol either. I use the pull out method right before I came but we all know that pretty much never works due to "pre ***" her period was over the thursday before. I dont know if that matters how soon it got over but I heard that ovulation does not occur until 10 days after her period started. Is this true? Also the next teusday i went and got plan B pills and the pharmacist said that since its the third day since she should take both pills at the same time. Its to early to get a pregnancy test so thats out of the question for 3 weeks. But I still get that feeling that she might be pregnant but she is really confident that she isnt. What are the chances that my girl is pregnant?

If she took the plan b pills you have nothing at all to worry about.

You made a mistake and you know it and owned up to it (not using a condom.) That is very good. I am sure you will not make that mistake again real soon. It it great to hear about guys like you that are big on condoms.

If she did not take the plan b pills you need to both go to planned parent hood in 3 weeks. Or you can buy your own home test. Have her take it while your there.

Wait you might want to both go to planned parent hood to take a std test if either of you had sex with others ever. Not just because you did not use a condom... It shows that you respect each other enough to know the truth about your past as the past and want a safe and good sexual relationship now.

In theory ovulation is supposed to happen during the middle of one's cycle, about day 12-13, but that doesn't always happen. While the chances of her ovulating are small, it doesn't mean that it did not happen. Plan B actually works up to 5 days after sex, but on days 4 and 5, it doesn't work as well. After 5 days, you have implantation, and thus, the drug doesn't work. If she was at day 3, with 72 hours, she should have taken the medication like normal. You need to start the first pill within 72 hours, not take both.

Do you trust your girlfriend? If you do, ask her face to face and accept the answer she gives you. If she gives you a vague answer: take a deep breath, remember that you trust her and presumably she trusts you, and that if she is you will be one of the first to know.
