I once stepped into a dead carcass once. it was so far gone I don't even know what it was but it was completely disgusting. I threw out my shoes.

This happened to my sister, not me. My family used to live on a 2 lane highway, and a Vette hit an 18 wheeler head on, both doing about 55. My sister went out to look, and was barefoot. She stepped out onto the road, and felt something squishy between her toes. It was brain matter.

Well... I didn't "step on" her... but, once I sat on my daughter on accident when she was 4 weeks old. It was 4 am and I was so tired, I accidentally fell asleep with her on the bed next to me (bad bad bad) and when the alarm clock went off at 6 am - for my husband to get up for work - I jumped up, turned it off and plunked my butt right down on top of my daughter. I had totally forgotten she was there and I felt so bad... but, no worries, it didn't even wake her up at all!!! I just moved her back into her bassinet and went back to sleep.
BUT, once I stepped right down on top of a Palmetto bug (if you dont know what that is.... http://static.redjupiter.com/images/naturebytheyard/roach001.jpg ). It was years ago and it was night time. I was getting up to go to the bathroom and I heard CRUNCH!

Dead mouse, left in my slipper by my new kitten (back in 1977) I still remember that feel, and hopping the length of the house to the bathroom to wash my foot...and throw the slippers away! Bleahhh!

I hate to step on rubberbands. They are all over the floor at work and I am always kicking them away. It feels like something is alive under my shoe. EEEEW!!!

my baby woke me up in the middle of the night and as i was going to rock him i stepped on something soft i thought it was a stuffed animal in the morning I was horrified to see a dead mouse where i had thought was the stuffed animal the night before
