They have a Monistat product called Soothing Care you can use on your bikini area as well as your underarms. No, it doesn't mean you have yeast there, it just means you have sensitive skin. Nothing to be embarrased about.

I also shave down there and I find it best to shave with shaving cream once a week. Or a good way to test is to brush the hair against the way of growth (usually up.) If it hurts then wait a few days to shave, if not then you are good to go. Rinsing out your ravor often can cut down on how many strokes you have to take to shave the area thus reducing razor burn as well. Remember that this is a very delicate area and must be treated more delicatly than your legs.

It really shouldnt burn it sounds like you may be useing a soap that is 2 harsh try using dove body wash they even make a dove for sensative skin that should stop the burning as for the bumps make sure you are shaving with the grain of the hair and not against it that means shave the firection the hair grows you will be able to tell by looking at it that should help with those plus also try the new noxima bikina shavers they are really small shavers that work great and arent alot of money i think its $4 for 3 of them

same here. i think it's razor burn. and for all those who will read this and say some dumb warts comment, i have given birth and was tested for all the stds *required in some offices when having a baby* it burns for me if i shave in the shower but not in the bathtub. i think it has to do with the moisture in my skin. then the red bumps itch, right? yeah, there is a cream you can put down there for after you shave that will take all that away. i remember hearing the commercial a year ago or so and remember thinking "that's what goes on with me, i need that cream". but i'm too cheap, i just take a bath instead. works the same for me....

I like most of the advices you got from the others.. I try not to shave so often and very importantly, i do not wear any underwear that is not cotton. Also my boyfriend told me that i was using the same blade too many times. Try some shaving cream for bumps or startch powder. Good luck and peace

A possible reason for the bumps and itchiness could be your shaving razor. After so many uses, the razor gets dull and sometimes jagged, irritating your skin as you shave. Another reason is the cream or soap that you use for shaving.

Try different creams or shave gel. You could try a straight aloe gel that is used for sunburns. It seems to work well for others. Some people however, do get bumps in their tender regions when they shave there. Sometimes it can't be really stopped or treated..

Try Nair or other dipilitory cream. You could also get some bikini zone or other shaving bump medicine.

when youre done shaving apply a white stick perspirant on the area & it will reduce your irritation. i know shaving sucks but that helps anyway.
