Get some Rigid Wrap. The usually have it at Michaels or similar place (Hobby Lobby etc). It's gauze with plaster in it so all you have to do it wet it. You can wrap it on a mannequin head or your face (follow directions on box). It dries hard and you can add layers of paper mache to change the contours and it's paintable and relatively cheap. It's lots of fun to play with too!
