For developing you communication skill in English, you have to spend more of your time in reading books in English and engaged in communicating with other in English. Listen to English News channels. First, you may find it difficult to follow their diction and intonation. As the days progress, you will find it interesting. Start articulating your views in English and try to formulate them in your way. Before long, you will be comfortable with the language. A genius is after all half hard work and the rest a matter of chance.
As regards your diffidence, I should say that once you acquire a skill in communicating in English, you will find your feet well on the ground. You will no longer be unsure of where you stand. You will gain in confidence. Work hard and that is the mantra for self preservation.

U can join any english speaking centre, read some english story or even course books, try n start speaking small sentences. If u have any ifs and buts just throw them out and u"ll have favourable results. Try 2 mingle up with others, if u have any inferiority complex throw it out ur problems will fly away. Just give ur best shot.

Reading lots of books n try to converse whatever u learnt n be free to expree whether right or wrong........... naturally ull improve guts n self confidence.

Have bilef in your self.Do minkle with others. Have friends who don't know your mother tongue.Read a lot. All the best for you.
