I think that she is a very talented, beautiful woman. I agree with you on the issue of values and don't think that you are asking out of jealousy. I too am curious as to why she feels that she needs to do this since she was blessed with her talent. There is really no need for her to lower herself just to get more box office appeal.

Halle Berry is doing nothing that Pam Grier did'nt do in the 70's....she has come a long way from playing mousey looking friends of the lead character's girlfriend or wife...."Losing Isiah" and "Monster's Ball" were breakout performances...so was "Queen", "Disappearing Acts", "Boomerang", and the James Bond movie..."Introducing Dorthy Dandridge" was a testament to her chops as a actress...she is a force to be reckoned with...has been since I first peeped her in "Jungle Fever" and "Strictly Business"....she is the Michelle Phiffer, Jody Foster, and Julia Roberts..better yet, Demi Moore black actress equivalent..there have been very few actressse who reached the heights she has...Black or White...being that she is actually bi racial...she had to build her own self esteem and find her way through this industry from the bottom...playing bit roles on sitcoms...Halle is sexy...she is not trashy...she was a cheerleader and beauty contestant...so I'm sure she's used to jealousy and scorn from other women...for every fluffy "X-Men" or Gothika role she takes...there is something like "Their Eyes Were Watching God"....Halle can't help it if she's pretty ...the girl has a brain...but she admires the screen sirens of the 50's and 60's...she brings the old school hollywood glamour....she is making it possible for gorgeous women like Gina Torres, Joy Byrant, Megan Goode, and Sanaa Lathan to play any part they damn well please..no more junkies, hookers, or maids....sometimes that means the wives or girlfriends of caucasian men because they are no brothers in the cast...Hollywood is still racist..but Terrance Howard, Derek Luke, Ben Harper, Anthony Mackie, and several others are following the trail Denzel blazed....hopefully , they were be better movies made about the Black Experience in the future. and Halle will be starring in a couple of those films.

I personally don't see anything wrong with with her. She's talented, pretty & a human being with good & bad qualities just like anyone else. Does the fact that she is mixed bother you? She only takes her clothes off when the role calls for her to do so. In that respect she is no different than most other actresses. There are not a whole lot of decent roles out there for a black woman & I think she has done a pretty good job in the roles she's portrayed. Did you forget she's won Oscar?

i think of that Halle Berry is a eye-catching woman era. She has an magnificent physique of artwork in movie to her credit. additionally, i think she has an Oscar and different awards. all and sundry is going by way of ranges of their lives and this may well be one for her. it may additionally be a thought out determination, she does have that top to make her very own judgements. Time will tell if it became a competent flow for her, I do exactly no longer think of she would be able to make a bad flow in her profession to the factor of destroying pronounced profession. What makes you think of that she compromised her values, you're shifting your values onto her. She would have faith that the human physique is eye-catching and that there's no longer something incorrect in exposing it, i might if I had her physique (mine isn't that undesirable easily, lol) Halle Bery has adequate staying power in Hollywood that she would not could take her outfits off for as you place it "the guy" to get interest. i think she has for this reason a strategies remained interior the historical past and not been a media whore as others of her Hollywood era have been so susceptible. I additionally do no longer think of of her as a token Black actress, i think of of her as Halle Berry that eye-catching actress and that i desire i'm going to have her seems, she is eye-catching so a strategies as your being extra appropriate looking, that would possibly be, there are thousands of extra appropriate looking men and girls individuals in on a regular basis existence. i do no longer think of all and sundry can seize that capturing celeb. Sorry, i became purely going to furnish a rapid reaction and be long gone lol. Hubbie says to point that we additionally enjoy watching the different women individuals you suggested carry out

I think I see where you are going. Halle sold women of color out with her antics on Monster's Ball. If she had not have taken off her clothes and acted like a p' star in the movie there would be no academy for her and you regret her representing pretty black women. I think people who will sell their soul to the devil to win awards are always overrated. I used to love her. I never thought she was the best actress but I USED to think she had class. She shamed me after that. I don't think you are jealous. I think you don't like her representing black beauty because there are so many black beauties who act that are both beautiful in and out. They aren't compromising themselves for status in Hollywood. She did this nasty movie. Now she is considered America's most beautiful black woman. That is what men think is a big deal. That should not be considered beauty. She was every other cute black woman actress until she started taking off her clothes. Now she is an idol. I regret that too. It does not help beautiful black women in society. I wish Angela Bassett or Kimberly Elise were looked more as idols to represent black beauty.
I agree, you aren't missing anything girlfriend!

I have never thought of Halle as being a great actress. There are plenty other actresses out there that can run circles around her. In my opinion, she did a better job of acting in the movie "Losing Isaiah". I was not impressed with her in "Monster's Ball. I guess she is more pleasing to the eye than anything else.

This is only looks. It's not as if the guys have had a cup of coffee with Berry. It's not as if you know the Rock or another star.
I love the Rock and Billy Dee Williams, but don't spend any time thinking about the men. They're not attainable. I'm not seeing these men soon. I wouldn't want to date them due to what comes with knowing them. I don't want to be in Star. Look at Vanessa & Nick. Brangella, & Brittany and K-Fed.
I don't like the idea of every sneeze and cough being recorded.

I think Halle Berry is just great, so what if she had surgery? So what if she takes off her clothes in movies? People act better than her? Who are you to judge? And whose to say you both share the same values? In her mind she might not be compromising squat? You asked my opinion and I'm giving it to you...you asked if your missing something, yea, in my opinion your missing a lot!!

I love Halle Berry. She's made a lot of accomplishments in her life and if mainstream America wants to have a black woman as their token sex symbol more power to her for breaking down that barrier. She's the first African American woman to win an Oscar for best actress. That's an obstacle that won't be there for the next black actress. I'm going to give that woman all the props she deserves.
