How many times are you going to ask this question? You've copied and pasted this same crap a million times.

Get the degree, as it will help you. Certainly, some jobs will be off limits, but you will still have many more options with the degree than without.

As far as the age thing, MANY people in school are not 18. Several people return from active duty around that age and begin school, in addition to many people don't know what the want at 18.

My friend just finished physician's assistant school nearly two years ago. Now she is making $46 an hour, at $80K plus a year. Before, she was making $36K a year. She was forty something wehn she finished and the oldest in her class. Do you think she regrets it?

There are people who are 45 in college. So better late then never. There will be a lot of people there in there 20s. Nobody will even think for a second that your old. A lot of people work before they go back to school. Some drop out to come back later.

I strongly suggest watching the movie "first time felon"
Try talking to an employment agency. I sold cars for about year. You don't need an education. I noticed a lot of people there have criminal records. If you can sell cars, act professional get with a big dealerships you can do very well.

Go to college. I started college at 22--it worked out fine. If your so worried about getting work b/c of your past, find an agency that specialises in working with people with criminal records. If you are on parole or probation, your officer may know of some places to go. I dont know what state youre in, but most major cities have a job bank.
Or, start your own business using a skill you may have.

Also, when you get a job interview, be honest about it. Tell them that, yeah you messed up but you want to move on and have a reference from your PO. or any other person with authority, like a counselor or clergyman. You also want to talk about you job/activities while you were locked up. A friend of mine got his GED and was a carpender while he was doing time--he put that on his resume. He found work--it wasnt easy (he was locked up for armed robbery), but he did it. You just really got to keep supportive people around you b/c it may take awhile to find the right job.

Stop whining & dont end your life! Youre way too young to give up! Get your degree and move on with your life. You deserve to live better.

Education is ALWAYS a good idea- no matter if you have a record or not.

And as far as age goes, I think you'll be surprised to find that there are actually a lot of people (like us) who are in the middle of getting their education and 22, 23, 24... my husband is getting his degree in a few months and is 29.
It's just a silly number. If you're not careful, that silly number will be a lot higher, you'll be a lot older, and you'll still have not started doing what you wish you had done a long time ago.

Good luck with your education.
