First, think about your favorite type of weather, your preference for type of employment, the distance you are willing to be from your family and friends and your financial situation at this time. If none of those things matter to you and you are looking for good employment opportunities and entertainment you should choose a large city that sits in an area with the type of weather you prefer. If you prefer warm weather, San Francisco is beautiful; but the cost of living there is very high! My friend there earns $100,000 per year and he lives in a small apartment! Chicago seems ideal: cost of living is not too bad, many employment opportunities and you have warm weather half of the year and of course, endless sources of entertainment! New Zealand has every kind of weather, the ocean, a relatively easy immigration plan (if you have money for the fees) and every type of entertainment you could hope for.

Kansas City. While the crime rate is as high as that in Chino. The people are really great, depending on the neighborhood that you move into. The music and culture is really great here.
We have the Jazz district, 18th and Vine. Where greats like Lou Armstrong, and Ella Fitzgerald preformed.
The Kansas city area is very diverse. Basically a mixing pot. :) We have great clubs, for everyone. If you are gay, straight, or a little of both we have the night atmosphere for you.
The radio stations. -we have plenty to choose from.
Shopping.- tons to choose from. Basically I-70 can take you anywhere in the KC area. You can go to Kansas City Kansas and enjoy the Legends area located in Wyandotte County, KS. They have a lot of great shops out there. Not to mention a theater out of this world. The theater, Legends 14 has a bar upstairs. You can watch your movie and drink while you do it.
The Chiefs. Superbowl bound, no. But there's always next year. IF you get a chance to go to a chiefs' game at arrowhead be sure to tailgate, and the fans here are out of the world, the stadium is soo loud. You'll love it.
The market in KC is booming. So come while house prices are low and new entertainment is coming in.

Chicago, Phoenix and Seattle cover all conditions. Denver is nice. Alaska is good, but cold. Any where, but, San Francisco, also know as San Franpsycho, San Fransleezeo and San Franhomo. A miserable place. Lived there for 25 years; moved out 6 months ago, though not far enough.

Go to www.findyourspot.com. It's cool, it asks a bunch of questions about what your looking for in a city, and then it gives ten or so of the top cities based on your needs.

Lol, i have lived in Miami, ny, and that i stay in Seattle now. i have been to la and that i did not like it. people in Miami are fairly impolite and ignorant as a society, and ny isn't my scene. i love the liberated charisma right here in Seattle. So genuinely Seattle. : )
