NDTV was associated with STAR, but even then it provided its own news coverage. now, it continues to do so as India's No.1 media house
NO, NDTV is not associated with other media houses. it is probably the only popular channel in India with such a credential (CNN-IBN: CNN, TIMES Now: Reuters, HEADLINES Today: Voice of America)
NDTV does however recieve inputs from news agencues, like Press Trust of India (PTI), Angence France Press (AFP) or IANS, Reuters etc. but it uses the inputs in its own way, it does not take direct news reports like other channels (wacth Reuters World Report on Times NOW to see what i mean)
NDTV not only provides news in English (NDTV 24x7), Hindi (NDTV India) and Business news (NDTV Profit), but also has a large no. of web protals like ndtv.com, ndtv.in, ndtvprofit.com, ndtvcooks.com, ndtvtravels.com, ndtvjobs.com, ndtvgadgets.com etc etc etc
NDTV currently has more than 1,000 employees producing news from over twenty plus locations nationally and internationally.
NDTV has decided to enter into an agreement with Astro Broadcast Corporation Ltd. that proposes to establish a joint venture company to set up and broadcast 24-hour channels in South East Asia.
Business process outsourcing company Genpact (formerly GE Capital International Services) and broadcaster NDTV have announced a 50:50 joint venture to offer media outsourcing services to enterprises worldwide in areas such as editing, digitisation and closed captioning.
so, enjoy what u see on NDTV!!!
