From what I understand, in a two man relationship, there is a more feminine male and a more masculine male. I understand why the feminine male would be attracted to the masculine male. But, why would the masculine male be attracted to a feminine man and not a woman?

This is a really difficult question. I have a lot of gay male friends. and the way they put it is you fall in love with the person, not their gender. The fact that some gay guys prefer more feminine or masculine males is just they're preference. It's like a person who prefers to date blondes, or a person who prefers to date African Americans. It just depends on the person. Why they wouldn't just like a woman if they like a feminine male, really no way to answer that. They are gay they prefer men over women. Not really a big mystery. Hope this helps?

There is just a lot more to it then that. Sexual orientation and attraction are not on the linear scale of Feminine vs. Masculine traits. If you take it out of context this would be like asking "why does the shy guy like the athletic strong willed career driven women"

Your understanding about a more feminine male and a more masculine male isn't very accurate. Of course there are same sex relationships where the stereotype you describe is applicable, but there are also many relationships where this does not apply at all.

I don't think that statement is entirely true. Even in a heterosexual relationship a girl can "wear the pants in the relationship". I think that in a serious same-gender relationship men actually chose their partners based on shared interests, and of course the basic instinct of attraction. It has nothing to do with one being more dominant than the other. However, as I said before, even in a hetero-relationship someone could be more dominant. I think what we are all ultimately after is a shared equality/ shared responsibilities with our life partner.

two masculine men can be together
just as there are dominating women who act like the man in a "straight" relationship
