I recently was admitted into the hospital and they said there is a chance I may never have my own children because of a stupid mistake of doucing because I had the not so fresh feeling before intimacy with my new partner now I have to pay a price for it so to speak and my boyfriend and I want to have at least one child in the not so distant future . I plan to see a OBGYN very soon making sure the infection is gone although I want to see if anyone can relate to this problem I have and if they have any answers/suggestions I need to make sense of all this it's hard to digest

For the child's sake, if you have any, I hope you get married first. Saying that, in regards to your infection, it depends on how long you had the infection and how much scar tissue as a result. You have two fallopian tubes but it sounds like your infection was isolated in one. If so, and there is pretty much scarring, I would say your chances of conceiving are about 50-50.

First, you have two fallopian tubes. So even if one is scared, it doesn't preclude having children without help. There are tests that can be done to check whether or not a tube is scared.

Even if it is, that still doesn't mean that you can't have children. It simply means that you would have to have mature ova harvested, mixed with the father's sperm and then introduced into your uterus through your cervix. That's referred to as a test tube pregnancy. The first child to be conceived in that way, Elizabeth Brown of England, just became a mother herself, so it does not harm to mother or child.

I'm surprised that this wasn't explained to you when you were hospitalized.

wait until the infection is gone...doctors r often wrong about this...my mom had a massive infection in her ovaries and was told she couldn't get pregnant after my sister was born...1 year later i was born....then when i was 20 i was diagnosed with cervical cancer and went through 2 years of therapy...they told me i would not have children...it devastated me...i am now almost 27 with a daughter that just turned 2 and a almost 7 month old daughter as well...don't worry relax and just let yourself heal and try later on down the road...don't try too hard, just let it happen...it will happen alot faster if u don't think about it....remember " A Watched Pot Of Water Never Boils"...I hope this helps and good luck to u.
