A "sales tax" is an amount (commonly calculated by a per-centage) of value for the sale of an item that is levvied by the Government. Depending upon your locale (state boundary) the sales taxation rate is different.
Yes...... taxation has been "a hot point" in many municipalities because they feel that UNCLE SAM has no say-so as to how the finances are handled, but in end, according to the Constitution, THE GOVERNMENT has complete authority determining how monies are exchanged.

Out of state sales are not taxed because legally you are supposed to pay tax in your home state. If you buy merchandise from an in state merchant they will charge sales tax.

Tax that the goverment gets from us buyers. You will see it when you get your recipt. Most places have 2 different kinds like wal-mart. You have the state tax and the city tax I think. It makes the purchase more then what it is and I think it's wrong. Best way I can explain it. Someone else might beable to explain it better.

the tax on any purchase you make it varies state to stae or even city to city in some cases here in ks it is 5.9% but in wichita it is 7% cause were building an arena
