Animal Control takes care of live animals, they won't come after dead one's. If you smell it and can't find it then you may be in trouble. Open the garage to air it out and then while the door is open smell around and isolate the area that smells the worse.

do you have any male friends who you can call who would be willing to remove the animal? with a metal shovel and some gloves he could put the animal in a bag or a box, then carry it out into the woods or something similar. as long as the animal is dead and your friend doesn't touch the thing you should be all set.

Um, don't call animal control, they are bogged down enough with legitimate work. Their purpose is not removal of dead animals.
