Craps is one of the three best table games if you stick with the 4 good bets, pass line/come, odds, place the 6 or 8 , ALL of the other bets are bad ones.

If you would like to get your feet wet at a low limit game. The Westin Casuarina, which is only a short walk down Flamingo has happy hour on weekdays from 5-10pm. During happy hour you can play craps for $1 .

Once a point is established, place a large bet on the DONT COME (DC). When the DC bet is moved behind a number (4-10), provided its not knocked out by 7 or 11, then put up a PLACE bet, of equal value, against the same DC bet.

For example, If your $100 DC bet goes behind 9, then add a $100 PLACE bet on the 9. Its a safe system. You expose your bet only once to the 7 or 11, then your safe. If your place bet hits, you lose your $100, but get paid $140 and thus net $40. If a seven is rolled, you lose your place bet, but get paid on your DC, and thus lose nothing.

To make money with this system you need to put down big bets (500+), play for only a short time, and look for an experienced or "hot table".

You can modify the system as follows. If your DC bet gets put behind a 10 or 4, LAY ODDS on the DC bet or put a smaller PLACE bet (odds decidely favor hitting 7 before 10).

Jim G is correct. You will want to maximize your money on the "odds" for each point. The card on the table will state what the min. and max bets are at the table and will say something like 10x odds. That means that you can bet 10 times the amount on the odds that you have on the pass line. So, if you have $1 on the pass line, you can place $10 on the odds. If you are going to gamble approx. $10-$15 per point, then you should put as much of that as possible on the odds. Avoid everything in the middle of the table. The house has much larger advantages on those bets.

There are many websites that can teach you the rules and a good playing strategy.

There is no table game in Vegas or anywhere else where the odds are in favor of the player. However, that said the best odds on any game is the PASS LINE on the craps table. For every dollar wagered on the pass line you are entitled to and equivalent bet behind the line. This is essence reduces the house odds to where, IN THEORY, you will only lose about $1.00 of every $100 wagered. But as you said, luck is luck and they don't call it LOST WAGES for nothing. Know what you can afford to lose up front and walk away when its gone. Good Luck...

Most houses have double odds on the pass line though some have up to 20. At double the house edge is .8% which is better than just about any bet in the house. Pass line + odds & forget any fancy stuff unless you have a large bank roll

Agree with above poster. There are good bets (what was mentioned) and the rest are sucker bets.
