Hi Questa,

I'm not sure what's in Works, but I know that Microsoft makes Office 2004 for the Mac. Check out Microsoft's Mactopia web site:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/

I use Office at my work and it interacts with Windows computers perfectly.

Also Apple makes their own versions called iWork which has Keynote (which is like PowerPoint) and Pages (which is word processor and is totally Word compatible). There's also several third-party programs that you can get that are very Works-like.

I've got ThinkFree Office which is pretty nice, but there are a bunch of others that are probably even better.

Of course the other option is to use BootCamp and run Window programs natively on your Intel-based Macintosh iMac. What ever floats your boat.

There are several possibilities for this to happen. Since Mac computers now utilize Intel's Core 2 Duo processor, it makes it a great pc replacement. If you plan on running MAc OSX type operating systems, the Microsoft Office you have now will not be compatible. However, there are versions of Microsoft Office made just for Mac and it consists of the same features at a similar price. Of course, you can also your the Mac version of office called Clarisworks. However, it is a bit less compatible with Windows and may take some getting used to if you are new to the interface.

If you just like Mac computers but want to stick to Windows, Mac has a little feature called Boot Camp that allows you to load Windows and use it on a Mac. In this case, you can install your current copy of Office onto it.

Feel free to email me if you need further details on Boot Camp/etc.

Use common sense answerer's, New Apple iMac computer = Pre installed Mac OS X, not windows. You must buy Office 2008 for Mac, copies of Office 2007 will not work on Mac OS X

Hey
I am a total apple fan! People say the mac sucks. But the truth is the really don't. The huge plus is 1. no viruses 2. you always have the option of running windows on it! I love my mac book Intel core 2 duo its so fast. Apple as you probably heard is coming out with leopard. I can't wait! But if your were going to buy a imac i would probably wait until leopard comes out because when leopard comes out leopard will already be installed on the computer in this case an iMac. But knowing Steve he will probably release another computer or ipod on the release date of leopard. But it is totally your choice you can buy the iMac now and pay for the upgrade later. Or buy the machine later and probably save money.

Yes and no. Office 2007 is for Windows, so it won't run under OS X. However, you can install Windows on your Mac and run Office that way. You can use software like Parallels to run Windows within Mac OS, or Boot Camp to create a Windows partition. You'll need a copy of Windows to install, then you can install and run Windows applications.
