Well I haven't been following it that much, but alot of it is stemming from Sept 11, with the terrorist attack. We are trying to stop the terrorists from making attacks on the USA, so we don't have to live in fear. I know Saddam mistreated children and killed them as well and a lot of his people just because they didn't agree with him. Killing children is just wrong to me. I'm sure if we seen someone a lot bigger beating up a child we would probably step in to help that child...that's just our nature here in the USA. I can talk negatively about our president, and not worry about them wanting to shoot me, I'm glad that I have to freedom to make a statement and not worry, but over there is a different story...I'ld done been dead. As for whether or not I like Bush, I'll still back him, as long as he's president. I don't agree with war, war causes pain, disfigurement, lost of lives, heartache, cost lots of money, so there's nothing glorious about war, but all those things about war is what gives us our freedom to do what we do now. I know I wouldn't want to be in Bush's shoes to make that kind of decision. Many times I hear people talking about how the president did this and that, but in reality, he has advisers suggesting what should be done, so he is basically the one that agrees or disagrees with the decision that his advisers came up with. So, he has more facts then what the public would know about. Look at it on a smaller scale....you have a family, and your neighbor is harrasing your children and wife, so you try to do the right thing by talking with them, but it doesn't stop and your neighbor takes a gun out treating to kill your family...would you step in to protect them or would you let them live in fear? The same applies with counties as well. Other countries are our neighbors, they have treaten to kill us and they already attacked us when the planes flew into the world trade centers, and to me Bush is protecting his children so to speak. I don't know all the facts as to why we are over there fighting, but I'm sure Bush knows. I am a voter, and I vote on who I think will do the best job, and who ever is voted into office, I will try to give them the benefit of the doubt and to support them whether I agree with them or not.
