sharapova ascent began with a win against Serena in Wimbledon. Serena always has to answer from the Tennis Snubs about her weight (no puny body but can serve 125 mile serve) her ability to only play six Grand Slams and beat the so called No.1 Tennis Player. Give me a break, Sharapova has lived in Florida since she was 13-- trust me we get 110 weather here with the Humidity. Excuses Excuses. Serena can beat any given man on a given day if she wants to. Give her break and for you naysayer as go Williams sisters goes American Tennis and So goes Tiger so goes Golf. She rocks.

Serena Williams played better than Maria Sharapova during the Australian Open final & clearly deserve her third title here.

she played so well, being the underdog the whole time and winning it. she definately played better than maria, Maria just didnt have her best stuff today and Serena benefited from it. but i think she played her heart out and is going to be the best female tennis player if she continues to play like she did. congrats to her!

totally a great tennis player..and fun too watch too..some people out there dont like he because shes black,fat and heck of a good player.and say anything to put her down.

i was really surprised she beat sharapova. i didnt think that would ever happen. sharapova is like my favorite tennis player ever.
