Let's say you're living in your parent's home. ur homosexual, and they're homophobic. They don't allow you to live as who you are. This behavior is obviously stupid and idiotic in so many ways and you know it, but there isn't much you can do about it. You're the child and you're living in your parents home. Yes, there's already enough that you have to put up with, dealing with all the other stupid homophobic behavior out there. But in those cases, at least you get the pleasure of walking away from it or ignoring it because you don't live together. What really can you do though if these homophobes are your parents and you're living under their roof and you want a relationship with someone of your same sex? Homophobia is stupid and needs to be attacked once in for all. How can we deal with ignorant parents who won't let their child live as who they are?

well, it depends. are they likely to respond to ANYTHING positive?

There are books, if you want to educate them "Loving Someone Gay".... there are groups "PFLAG- parents and friends of lesbians and gays".... there's support groups for underage LGBT people you can go to and just say you are going to a friend's house.... how old are you? You can move out. You can go to college early at Simon's Rock of Bard, and become independent younger.

I would want my parents to know that i know that homosexuality, just like hetrosexuality is constructed. i would even show them this formula.
The Formula For Constructing A Homosexual
This formula can be illustrated in this way: A Predisposition
Toward Homosexuality Plus That First Homosexual Experience
Multiplied By Pleasurable and Positive Homosexual Thoughts
To Which Is Added More Homosexual Experiences Multiplied By More Pleasurable Thoughts Constructs A Homosexual.

Then I would tell them so many things could cause predisposition. I would say do you know 1 in every 4 children are born with a gender nonconformity. Now not all children that construct homosexuality have a gender nonconformity, and not all children that have a gender nonconformity will construct homosexuality. Any child could be predisposed to constructing homosexuality. Even name calling can be a predisposition to a child constructing homosexuality. Most kids construct homosexuality innoscently even, then they forget the influence from another time another person of the same gender that produced a homosexual pleasure in a child and the child was then influenced at another time in their lives. Not to mention this child could not talk to anyone about this issue. Everyone around them are so against homosexuality and they do not even understand all that could be involved. If I was a parent I would want to make sure I knew more about the situation and be there to help my . or the child make some decissions.
Anyhow something like that should help.

you live under their roof, you play by their rules. Having said that, you aren't always in the house. Explore your gay curiousity when you're out....and don't discuss it with your parents. As soon as u are mature enough, you can move out on your own. When they see u aren't gonna change, they'll hopefully come around
