Ok so lately i have been hit with the reality that i need to really think about what i want to do after i graduate. Things just dont sound appealing to me... i dont want your normal boring job and cosmetology is really interesting me....i can see myself doing it. Everyone is saying...are you sure... cutting hair? itds not gonna do much for ya...blah blah...but i really think i would enjoy it....there is so much possibilities in it....and it seems like it would be such an interesting job...all kinds of people you meet and what not. So for all ya'll who have done it could you tell me some more about it. Should i pursue it? Do you enjoy it...any bad thoughts about it....etc etc

Don't plan on buying that new Vette in the first couple of years. The school will tell you all the "potential" you have to make. Sure if you like working 60-70 hours a week. It takes a while to build up clintele. I like doing it but I have a shop in my house so I could stay home with my last 2 kids. Saves a bundle on daycare and how many jobs can you do that? It's usually very expensive for the year of school or however long your state requires compared to other degrees. Good luck!

First off, do what you love!!! We only get one chance at this life, and if we don't go for our dreams now, when will we? If cosmetology is your passion, there is no reason not to go for it. A friend of mine is going to graduate from Paul Mitchell school in a few months, and absolutely loves it. She can't get enough. As far as what those you know are saying, "it's not gonna do much for you"- if you enjoy it then it will bring much happiness and fulfillment. Those people who have said these comments to you are saying them because they don't have passion for cosmetology, and thus don't understand how you would be interested in it. Good luck!

Girly Know what you mean I've been out of school for two years and I'm barely going back what a waist.Huh.I tried the normal boring job it sucks I tried it quit by the second check.I use to want to do that but my mind changes every other month. But I've finally found what i want to do.My hair dresser said she got bored of at school, but she said it was well worth it.Do it look at the odds if you end at high end salon you might get to work on some stars.
