Short shorts and mini's weren't in the 1950s but 1960s. Poodle skirts, saddle shoes were hot in the fifties.

I think you should wear a mini because in the 1950's alot of people wear short mini skirts.

some of the others are right...mini dresses came in during the '60s and short shorts i guess around the '70s. in the '50s women wore dresses, usually well-fitting with full skirts to the knee. also peter pan (rounded) collars were big at the time. think i love lucy, if you ever watched it, and polka dots. the dresses in the link i provided should give you an idea.

loafers.
Tie your hair back in a pony tail.
