sharapova mailed it in tonight. she should be ashamed to collect her pay check after literally throwing the match to Serena Williams tonight.. not sure what your problem is with Mauresmo. most WTA players would tell you she is one of the nicest players on tour, not to mention one of the most fitest atheletes.. Mauresmo is a lesbian and there is nothing wrong with that. the good thing is that she has morals. she has been loyal and faithful to her girlfriend for years.. more than i can say for hingis and sharapova. these girls change boyfriends as often as they change their underwear! and in sharapova's case, she feels she has to hide her love life.. hmmm, for all we know, maybe she's bi??? bottom line, it doesn't matter. this is TENNIS, not SEX..

Who cares. Thats really shallow. Amalie Mauresmo is a really talented tennis star. Her sexual status and looks shouldn't be important.

That's tight. If she wants to play tennis - then she can. Mauresmo's a good tennis player and it doesn't matter if she is lesbian to the hosts of the tennis grand slams.

sexuality has no effect on gender. She looks masculine but is definitely a woman.
On Big Brother Australia they showed a picture of mauresmo holding up the wimbledon trophy next to a picture of gay male housemate david...lol...they looked the same. the commentator said "I didn't know housemates where allowed to leave the house, but it seems david has gone and won wibledon.LOL

They do this for publicity to have more people watch, then go home an wonder about it....until they go insane out of curiosity... get on the Internet and go to yahoo answers. People do not change there gender just to play Tennis.

If she doesn't need a Jock Strap, then she can play with the girls. We went through this years and years ago with Rene Richards, who was a man at one time.

same reason billie jean king was around when chris evert was around; same reason why martina navratilova was around when tracy austin was around; i'm okay w/ amelie; better a lesbo than a gorilla like those two ugly-a s s sisters

A persons sexual preference has no bearing on whether they can play tennis and be a champion or not.
If Federer was gay (and I am NOT implying he is) there would be no-one saying.. ohhh, he shouldn't play..he's gay.
Billie Jean king and Martina navratilova were champion players and there was no inference of them not playing because of their sexual preference.
