Practice. Talk to your teachers/peers about concepts you don't understand/have trouble with. Try teaching it to someone/something else. May sound crazy, but teaching plush animals is really supposed to help, as the simple act of teaching reinforces your own knowledge.

You haven't explained AT ALL what the problem is, so it's hard to help.
Do all of the problems that come your way. Go back over the stuff you've done this year, and do every problem you can get your hands on.
Work on some problems every night, if only for a little while.
If you know someone who gets it, see if they can help you.
Ask the teacher.
These are all vague, since you don't say what problem you're having.
The equals sign does NOT mean "the answer" -- what it does mean is, everything on one side of it is equivalent to (has the same value as) everything on the other.
If you do something to one side of the equals sign, you have to do it to the other side, to keep it all still equal.
If you divide something by 2, you have to divide everything by 2.
4=4
4/2 = 4/2
2=2
2+7 = 2+7
9=9
9 X 3,464 = 9 X 3,464
It's still true, no matter what you do, as long as you do the same thing to both sides of the equation.
Always keep it true.
(Just guessing as to the problem you MIGHT be having.)

The best thing you can do now is devote a lot of time to it. Once you get to a higher level of algerbra what you don't learn now will hurt you a lot in the future. So study hard and try and get as flawless of grades as you can.

ok the problem is x/-8 - 9 = 3 + 9 +9 you pick to get the x by potential of this is self so that you do the option x/-8 = 12 The nines cancell one yet another out on the left and the right equals 12 Now you pick to do the option of branch this is multiplication. in case you do it on one edge, you may want to do it on the different edge. (-8) * x/-8 = 12 * (-8) The -8s cancell out on the left so all you've left is x and 12*(-8) equals -96. x= -96 Now all you've left is to do the examine and change the answer into the equation. wish that this permits. I coach this commonly used!

Ok,
I admit math is quite tough.
First, you need to understand all the formula and workings of questions.
You need to always ask your teacher about the questions that you don't understand. Don't be shy about it because it will help you a lot.
Don't ever-ever copy people's answer and working because in the end you are the one who don't get anything.
Practice a lot, so that you can do a lot of types of question.

Try going over notes that you took in class. if you don't take notes in class then review some old work that you did. if that doesn't help, talk to your teacher they are probably more willing to help or they might have extra credit ideas.
